Yesterday an exhibition, bringing graffiti and street art indoors, opened in america at MOCA called Art In The Streets. It educates the public on the development of street art from the 70s to the present day as well, as displaying some great original work .

To tattoo or not to tattoo

Some people seem to go out and get tattoos without really thinking about the consequences. As my 18th birthday is arriving next month I have been planning out my tattoo that I want to get. I have looked over the internet and some of the tattoos I have seen are truly awful and I know people will regret when they are older. Tattoos are very controversial, especially in my household, and can be seen as marks of the lower social class, criminals the uneducated. However I have now drawn mine and made sure that it is something meaningful and something that I won't regret when i'm older.

My tattoo is going to be along these lines it has a lot of meaning to me me but i'm not quite sure if I have finished it yet but I have a while to finalise it.
What are your opinions on tattoos ?

I hear Duffy's selling coke

Here are just a few of Dr.D's (who knows what he's a doctor in ?) pieces of 'Subvertising'. His de-constucted advertising engages with politically and socially charged issues through irony, sarcasm and wit. He creates these subvertisements as a way of publicly expressing himself.

Pink is for GAYS!

Here are some posters I created as part of my development for my A2 art exam. They are inspired by old posters/adverts I found on the internet, a few I had written about before  briefly, they are riddled with sexism, racism etc. but that was acceptable in those times. So here are a few of my versions taking a more modern twist on discrimination, stereotypes and problems that are more apparent in todays world.
the scanner makes the drawings look rougher, really they are a lot smoother than this.
